Dirt work, drainage and pads, on the date we said.

01 — Scope

What we are actually bidding

Open any of these for the detail a general contractor needs before putting us on a schedule. Being specific here removes most of the questions from the first call.

Site preparation & clearing
SVC-01 Clearing, grubbing, stripping and stockpiling topsoil, and erosion control installed to plan before anything else starts.
  • Silt fence, wattles and construction entrances
  • Timber cleared and either burned to permit or hauled
  • Stockpile locations agreed in writing, not assumed
Grading & building pads
SVC-02 Cut and fill to grade, pads compacted and proof-rolled with density testing where the plan calls for it.
  • GPS machine control on the dozer and the excavator
  • Compaction to 95% standard Proctor unless specified otherwise
  • As-built survey provided on completion
Drainage & storm
SVC-03 Storm lines, catch basins, detention basins and outfall protection. The part that fails last and costs most.
  • RCP and HDPE, laser-set grade
  • Detention ponds shaped and stabilised
  • Video inspection available on request
Utilities & underground
SVC-04 Water, sewer and conduit runs, trenched and bedded, with locates called and documented.
  • Trench boxes on anything over five feet, no exceptions
  • Bedding and backfill to the spec, photographed before cover
Gravel, base & parking
SVC-05 Access roads, laydown yards and parking areas, from subgrade through finished base.
  • Geotextile where subgrade will not hold
  • Rolled in lifts, not dumped and spread

02 — Equipment

Owned, not rented

Rented equipment arrives when the rental yard has it. This is the answer to "can you actually be here on the fourteenth", which is the only question that matters on a schedule.

03 — Coverage

Where we work

Seventy-five miles of the shop, further for work that runs more than a month. If you are outside it we will say so on the first call rather than bid it and disappoint you.

04 — Bid

Send us the plans

Answer these and the first call is about the schedule instead of the basics. We return most bids inside four working days.

This is a demonstration form. Nothing is sent and nothing is stored.
